Ithaka had been calling to her.
The longing for Wisdom,
For home. So, the search begins.
‘It is as if—up till now—I have not lived—truly lived. A corpse infused with the Spirit of life and it feels so utterly fantastic! Who wants to die and go to heaven when paradise is right here…?’
Once estranged from her heritage, from her roots, Christine hears the call and begins her journeys in the motherland. Searching, searching for that which had been missing from her life. A search that take her to cosmopolitan towns, to ancient and medieval splendours, to holy sites and warm nights under starry skies.
But the search is not easy, the travels never smooth. The past never erased. For alongside the emotional and spiritual ecstasy, there is a force which tries to bar her path, to drag her into the realm of shadows and death.
Christine must undergo that which is akin to a rite of passage. She must prove herself worthy and search deep within herself for strength, for courage and hope. She must tear away the masks around her, ignore with all her might the songs of the sirens that try to lure her away, away from Ithaka.
She must transform but ultimately, she must stay true to herself, plant her roots and begin to flower among the sacred stones of Greece. t One - Tantalised. e
